Hi y'all!

So here is a groupproject I have been working on for the past 8 weeks with an amazing group! It's a game based on a childerens book, made to be more immersive and interactive, to learn kids to read. It's called "Wouter en Klaasje in het Ureversum", and it's a dutch book. I hope that it'll be usefull for the teachers and fun for the kids!

Enjoy!

So here are a few concept's I made for one of the main characters, Klaasje. They're very varied because we had just begun working on the project and wanted to check out all the posibilaties for the look of the game. Eventually we went with my teammate's design, but our client was very enthousiastic about the colourpalette and the overalls, so the designs got frankensteined into one final design.
Here are some try outs for the character Wouter. you can see the final design in the next picture. The girl has been designed by steffie van Pol! (https://www.behance.net/stuffie)
Here is the final design and sprite sheet of Wouter
Here are some animals who play a bigger role in the story. On left we have domino, who is a talking deer. On the right are some colourfull talking birds, who help the protagonists find their way home.
There are also Mergje and Zwergje, two kids who lived in prehistoric times. On the left are the first designs I made, and on the right are the final, clean designs.
Here's the titlescreen for the game. There's some space left on the right for the UI buttons.
And here are some concept sketches I made of wouter, klaasje, mergje and zwergje, plus some sketches of birds and timemachines.
Overall I very much enjoyed working on this project with my amazing team! We had great aspirations and got the results we wanted by working hard! We planned a lot and it certainly paid off!

If you want to see more of the project, go give my team some love too!
